The saying “It’s lonely at the top” is never more true than for Managing Directors and Business Leaders. The MD Leadership Network is made up of 4-8 business leaders within a given area. Leadership Network meetings are half a day each quarter with the fourth meeting being an all day event. Each Leadership Network is facilitated by a senior member of the Ithaka team. The annual membership fee is £975 + VAT (funding support available).
The Ithaka MD Leadership Network was first established over 20 years ago after a group of MD’s completed the Ithaka MD Leadership Course. As business leaders, it became clear that some issues could not be discussed within their own organisations, but through discussion with a group of fellow business leaders, solutions materialised that might otherwise not of. The group maintains a strict code of confidentiality. As one Managing Director said:
“Having a group of directors, all with varied areas of expertise provides me with an excellent sounding board and a regular source of fresh ideas. It’s made a real difference to the competitiveness of our business and it would be prohibitively expensive to engage this by conventional routes e.g. non-exec directors“

Leadership Networks in this form have always been driven by business leaders, but due to such positive feedback, we are actively promoting these to other leaders. We have active networks in Cambridgeshire and West Midlands, with interest expressed in London, South East of England and the South West.
