Firstly, why are we called Ithaka Leadership? It’s a question we get asked a lot so we thought we’d share it with you
Ithaka comes form an allegorical work by the 20th century Greek poet Constantine Cavafy, which links a traveller’s voyage to the fabled Mediterranean isle with the learning experiences of life. Cavafy writes:
“To arrive there is your ultimate goal. But do not hurry the voyage at all. It is better to let it last for many years; And to anchor at the island when you are old, Rich with all you have gained on the way…”
Managing Director Peter Sturrock named the company after this poem as our clients embark on a similar journey during their own personal development.
